About Me

Hello fellow fitness fanatics (and soon to be fitness fanatics). My name is Nick. The health and fitness information I share on this site is from the many fitness books, articles, websites and personal experiences and contacts I've made over the years.

I'm a Certified Personal Trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise). What drives me is helping people feel better. Whether it's to lose weight for medical reasons or to be able to keep up with your children/grandchildren, I have the experience to help you.

I've been involved in some type of sport and/or fitness activity my entire life. After graduating college, getting married and starting a family, staying physically fit became difficult, but something I always managed to make time for. At the gym, or while playing sports with friends and co-workers, I was always asked how I stay in such great shape. I'm not big, just physically fit. I recently hit my 50's, but have no problem keeping up with others half my age.

Staying physically fit, I've been able to continue playing sports with friends of any age, enjoy nice weather outside by taking a run or a bike ride, taking part of new activities on vacations such as long hikes and snorkelling, and most importantly, keeping up with my children.

My goal for the Go For The Gold Fitness site is to help everyone make the most of their life. I hope to do this by helping each of you to understand where your current fitness level is, and through exercise routines and articles, help you achieve your fitness goals.

I'm a certified personal trainer through ACE (American Council on Exercise). I've spent my entire life involved in sports and fitness. So getting certified was the next obvious step for me to follow my dream of a career as a personal trainer. My goal as a personal trainer is to help others improve their quality of life through a more active lifestyle. This can be achieved through exercise programs that are both fun and challenging.

If you have any questions or comments for me, I'd love to hear from you. I can be reached via email at: nick@goforthegoldfitness.com.
